Abstract: This talk reports on the latest research results from the Institute of Industrial Automation and Software Engineering at the University of Stuttgart. The focus is on intelligent manufacturing automation. In this context, current research topics such as intelligent digital twins, LLM (possibly referring to Large Language Models, though typically context would clarify), and machine learning will be discussed. Furthermore, a few demonstrators in these research areas will be presented.

Biography of the Presenter: Professor Nasser Jazdi is the Deputy Director of the Institute of Automation at the University of Stuttgart, a Senior Member of IEEE, the project leader for the architecture of digital twin systems at Siemens, the project leader for automotive assembly quality management at Daimler AG, and the project leader for artificial intelligence at the Bosch Central Research Institute. His current research focuses on intelligent digital twin systems in Industry 4.0, the application of artificial intelligence in automation systems, and the reliability of flexible automation systems. He has published over 100 academic papers and has led more than 40 industrial projects funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research and the German Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy.
