The results of the CAST Young Talent Support Program, Doctoral Student Special Project, were recently announced. Four doctoral students from our school—Guo Xianjie (advisor: Yu Kui), Shen Hao (advisor: Zhao Zhongqiu), Yang Yonghui (advisor: Wu Le), and Shao Pengyang (advisor: Wang Meng)—were successfully selected, showcasing our school's outstanding achievements in cultivating high-level scientific and technological talent.

This program, initiated by the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST), targets senior doctoral students in science, engineering, agriculture, and medicine. It aims to "nurture and cultivate" talent within the innovation pipeline by providing a systematic support framework to accelerate the growth of young researchers.

The selection process, organized by CAST, involved recommendations from provincial science and technology associations and evaluations by national academic societies. Through a rigorous screening mechanism, 3,226 exceptional doctoral students were ultimately awarded funding. Selected candidates will receive comprehensive support during the prime phase of their research careers, empowering them to achieve groundbreaking accomplishments in their respective fields.
